Abstract
It is shown that the soft crystal electric field excitations in noncubic crystals interact strongly with the heavy fermions provided ΔCEF ≤ TK. This interaction results in forming the gap in the fermion spectrum which can be suppressed by an external magnetic field applied along the easy magnetization axis.
