Abstract

In the present report, we discuss the possibility of optimization of amplitude- and frequency-modulated traveling magnetic field (AFM TMF) excited in the melt by a standard inductor for the intensification of heat and mass transfer at the out-of-furnace processing in the ladle-furnace. On the basis of theoretical analysis of electrodynamic processes occurring in the melt under the action of traveling magnetic field, algorithms of AFM TMF parameters computation are determined.
