Abstract
The concept of suppression of junction fluctuations in polymer networks is quantified by means of κ in Flory's recent network elasticity theory. The same concept is also measured by the h parameter in Dossin and Graessley's expression for the small-strain modulus. In this work an analytical relationship between these two physically related parameters is obtained for the case of a perfect, incompressible, unswollen network.
