Abstract
Discusses the use of paradoxical interventions in counseling and coaching in sport and clarifies the concepts of 1st- and 2nd-order change processes. The logic of the paradox is described in detail. Several examples of paradoxical intervention in sport are presented, together with guidelines for its use.
