Optical-mechanical signatures of cancer cells measured by interferometry

Abstract

We used interferometric microscopy to uniquely measure live cancer cell fluctuations, in a noncontact, label-free manner, and showed that cancer cells fluctuate more than similar but healthy cells, demonstrating the method potential for cancer diagnosis.
