Abstract

Full-vector electromagnetic diffraction theory to design and simulate the performance of diffractive optical element (DOE) with structural dimensions comparable to operation wavelengths becomes unavoidable. In this presentation we will give review on our developed advanced diffraction grating analyses and simulation tools for design of multilayer lamellar grating structures. We will present design of tunable narrow band-pass reflector and surface-relief diffractive microstructures for improving efficiency and accelerating response of photodetectors.
