Abstract
An integrated wire-based magneto-optical trap for an ultracold atom near surface is discussed. More than 3×108 87Rb atoms in mirror magneto-optical trap are collected with a modified U-shaped current-carrying Cu structure, without using quadrupole coils. These atoms are loaded to a Z-wire trap. They are evaporatively cooled to a Bose-Einstein condensate close to the surface.
