Abstract

In the last two decades, thermal energy storage (TES) has gained wide popularity to bridge the gap between energy demand and supply. Phase change materials (PCM) or latent heat storage materials are the most efficient amongst the TES methods due to high storage density within a narrow temperature range. The simple phase change observed is solid to liquid phase such as paraffin wax, which absorbs thermal energy and continues melting at constant temperature till it completely melts.
