Abstract
This review summarizes recent advances in the coordination chemistry of organotellurium halides with an emphasis on the special features of the coordination patterns of the aryltellurium halides (ArTeX; X = Br, I) in transition metal carbonyl complexes (Fe, Co, Mn, Re, Ru). Unusual shortening of metal-tellurium bonds and inter- and intramolecular X → Te secondary interactions are observed.
