Abstract
British football is popular in Israel. By means of TV channels, almost every Israeli can watch—directly—a game from the British league. However, committed fans of British football are special people: They are highly committed to “their” British club, much more than to their local club. This article presents the basic profiles of the committed Israeli fan. It is concluded that for these fans, the club is an “overseas sweetheart,” far away but close to the heart.
