Abstract
A method for medical diagnosis and prognosis, based on parameter identification techniques, is proposed. The method consists of three steps, namely modeling, identification, and classification. Each one of the steps is briefly discussed. An example in which the proposed method is applied to the assessment of the viability of the perfused kidney, is described.
