Abstract
The large variety of interesting phenomena related to the passive scalar transport in a random incompressible fluid flow were investigated both theoretically and experimentally. These effects include anomalous turbulent diffusion, intermittency, fractal structure of a concentration field. However the passive scalar transport by a compressible turbulent flow is a subject of a relatively few investigations and some interesting aspects of this problem were not addressed. The main goal of this paper is to discuss new effects, turbulent barodiffusion and turbulent thermal diffusion in gases. These phenomena result in the additional fluxes of the mass of gaseous admixture advected by a compressible turbulent fluid flow with low Mach numbers. These effects caused
