Abstract
The magnetic field distribution inside high temperature superconductors was investigated. A set of Hall probes were used to measure the ac magnetic field in a narrow gap between two BSCCO superconducting cylinders. A computer simulation was also used to analyze the adequacy and accuracy of the method. At low current, the field distribution inside the superconductors could be described by Bean's model.
