Abstract

Various kinds of fins performing under different conditions are of great importance in thermal systems design and may be the most used thermal device. Therefore, the analysis of those fins has for a long time been a requirement of the designer. The performance of longitudinal fins, spines and annular fins having rectangular, triangular and parabolic shapes with uniform and non-uniform heat generation and temperature distributions are investigated in this paper.
