Abstract

Effluent treatment has attracted a great deal of attention during the past decade. However, reuse of effluent is associated with health and environmental risks. Adequate selection and adaptation of the treatment phases can minimize these hazards and engineering, economical and environmental aspects should also be linked in order to make optimal treatment and effluent reuse (Salgot, 2008)
