Abstract
A general expression for the steady-state current circulating in the Aharonov-Bohm ring was derived and used to find the effect of an acoustic (or electromagnetic) source on the persistent current. In particular, it was found that, by controlling the intensity of the acoustic wave in a certain frequency range, it is possible to tune the magnitude of the orbital moment.
