Abstract

The phase diagram for the ternary system Na2Cr2O7 + NaNO3 + H2O was determined at three temperatures, (20, 30, and 40)°C. In addition, the densities of the saturated aqueous solutions were measured. The experimental results show that in the temperature range (20 to 40)°C, only anhydrous sodium nitrate and sodium dichromate dihydrate were present as solid phases.
