Abstract
A different approach to the analysis of slender framed structures is presented. It is based on the theory of underconstrained systems. It is shown that frames can be interpreted as semi-underconstrained structures. The approach allows understanding of various features of the mechanical behavior of frames as well as novel computing techniques.
