Abstract
The slide, properly used, is of great value in biomedical communication in both in-house training and in research centers for reaching self-learners. Not long ago the medical lecturer who made extensive use of the slide projector was accused of reducing his presentation to the level of a show. However, theseaids are currently almost standard requirements. There are probably were few medical teachers who could hold their audience without them. Yet many lecturers lack the knowledge of controlled delivery of audiovisual material. There is always the occasional gifted amateur, but he is very rare. This paper delineates a plan for the development of effective slides.
