Abstract

The UN's Millennium Development Goal 4 aims for a two-thirds reduction in deaths among children under five by 2015. With pneumonia being the number one killer of children under five,¹ this can only be achieved if we prevent and protect children from pneumonia-related deaths - and that will take global commitment and investment in life-saving interventions, like vaccines.
