Abstract

Polysulfone derivatives are a priori good candidates for the preparation of charged membranes. A simple and safer bromomethylating reaction makes the polybase readily available. The bromomethylated polymer is compatible with unmodified polysulfone. Anion exchange membranes were prepared. The influence of various aminating procedures was shown.
