Abstract

Theoretical investigation shows that during the chemical pumping of high vibrational levels of diatomic molecules partial population inversion between these levels can exist much longer than that for vibrational transition I→O. In case of fast VV-exchange the 'long' inversion appears long after finishing of the inversion for the transition I→O. It lasts up to the completion of chemical pumping reaction. The calculations are made for H2-F2-He mixture.
