Abstract
Twenty-frst-century scientifc studies emphasize the importance of a good diet for health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment. Natural contaminants in food and feed are a signifcant source of human and animal health concerns. Mycotoxins are toxic substances produced by fungi that fourish in food or feed, providing a signifcant health risk to humans and animals. Mycotoxins are well known for creating major health problems in humans and animals when they enter the body.
