Abstract
A preliminary analysis of a double-layer steel grid with the configuration of a circular arch, erected by prestressing, is presented. The proposed approximate method is intented to provide: an estimate of steel requirement (mild and high strength); immediate information on important specific effects in prestressing and erection. Three numerical design examples are included.
