    Abstract

We report a rare case of a 35-year-old woman with primary hepatoid carcinoma of the ovary during pregnancy associated with abnormal levels of maternal serum α-fetoprotein. This tumor should be considered in the differential diagnosis of pregnant women with very high levels of maternal serum α-fetoprotein whenever other maternal or fetal sources are excluded.
