Abstract
Yunnan is one of the less developed provinces of China, but has abundant solar energy resource and the most users of solar water heaters due to the perfect climate. Recent years, building integration of solar energy systems (referred to as BIOSES in this paper) is gaining great attention. This communication briefs the achievements in the BIOSES in Yunnan of China, and some successful illustrative projects are presented. Issues of the most concern and interest, which is resisting a further development of the BIOSES are identified and discussed.
