Abstract
It is shown experimentally that an input pulse in a liquid containing gas bubbles evolves in accordance with the Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equation. By the proper choice of dimensionless groups characterizing the process it is possible to observe the propagation of signals in the form of monotonic and oscillating shock waves, solitons, and wave packets.
