Abstract

Proton spin lattice relaxation times were measured for the following amino acids: L-alanine, L-methionine, L-valine, L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-norleucine. All the compounds show a minimum in T//1 at high temperature which has been attributed to reorientation of the amino group. From these data the values of the interproton distances in the amino groups were calculated. Refs.
