Abstract

A quantitative model has been developed relating electrical resistance with strain and time for carbon black filled silicone rubber compounds. The model is based on concepts and methods used in the field of viscoelasticity. Relaxation experiments are performed in order to evaluate material parameters. With these, resistance‐strain‐history relations, under other loading conditions may be predicted.
