Abstract

This paper proposes a new method to construct a degree of membership in fuzzy modelling. The method is based on similarity between fuzzy and quantum-mechanical logic and suggests using the mathematical apparatus of quantum mechanics (Hermit's operators and wave-functions) for fuzzy models. This approach first requires the construction of a special "quasi-potential" function based upon the knowledge of an analyzed system. How this method works is illustrated with the help of three simple examples concerning hormone normal concentrations, an optimal number of hospitals, and the distance to healthcare.
