Quantum thermodynamic cooling cycle

    Abstract

    In approaching the absolute zero, any cooling cycle must be dominated by quantum dynamics. At the same time, one should be able to probe its behavior with fundamental chiller thermodynamics. A three-level quantum model is proposed and explored as a simple case study.
