Abstract
Positron lifetime spectra of some nitrodiphenyls in xylene solution have been studied in the temperature range 255-362 K. Arrhenius plots of the quenching constants show the typical maximum, in these cases generally at about 320 K. The inhibition constants decrease with increasing temperature, the activation energies being -0.3 kcal mole and -0.6 kcal mole for the mono-and di-nitrodiphenyls respectively.
