Abstract

The number of light and heavy atoms ejected during elastic collisions of 0.2-100 keV protons with the biologic tissue, and upon irradiation with neutrons of initial energy of 1 to 1000 keV, was calculated. The calculations were made by the Monte Carlo program simulating the processes of interaction of charged particles, with the substance; 'Minsk 22' computers were used for the purpose. While numerous approximations make the results approximate, these are useful for the interpretation of the primary lesions induced by the recoil protons.
