Abstract

1. The reaction of acetylenic γ-hydroxyaldehydes with secondary amines in a methanolic medium leads to the formation of 2-methoxy-4-dialkylamino-5,5-dialkyldihydrofurans. 2. Protection of the hydroxyl group in the acetylenic γ-hydroxyketones allows one to add diethylamine and obtain previously unknown enamines.
