Abstract

Reaction of alkylthiochloroacetylenes with N-alkyl-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)amines proceeds with formation of N-alkyl-N-(2-hydroxyethyl) amides of alkylthioacetic acids, and reaction with 2-hydroxyethyl- and 2-mercaptoethylamine results in 2-(alkylthiomethyl)-4,5-dihydro-1,3-oxazoles and the hydrochlorides of alkylthioethynyl(2-aminoethyl) sulfides respectively.
