N2 - Accurate noninvasive monitoring and diagnostic of the functional activity in the brain is highly important for many brain diseases like: Parkinson and Epilepsy. Electroencephalography is the single brain monitoring technique that is noninvasive, portable, passive, with high temporal resolution, and gives a direct measurement of the brain electrical potential distribution. The main disadvantage of the electroencephalography is its low spatial resolution. For diagnosis of brain-related diseases, recording brain activity with both high temporal and spatial resolution is crucial for the localization of confined brain activations and the study of brain mechanism functionality. A new cortical potential imaging (CPI) method gives an accurate estimation of the brain electrical potential map on the cortex surface [1].
