In this paper we describe by means of a Regge-pole model the differential and total cross sections and the polarizations for all three processes simultaneously; our results are in good agreement with experiment. Before we describe our model, it is useful to give an idea on the already existing models, which usually describe only certain aspects of the above reactions. The one pion exchange (OPE) model \[5, 6\] or the reggeized OPE \[7\] can describe the w differential cross section, but give wrong results on polarizations. By considering OPE with final-state absorptive interactions better results on spin density matrices were obtained \[8\]. However, as shown below, OPE alone cannot explain the ratios (eq. (1.2)). The po differential cross section can be fitted \[2\]b y the diffraction model \[5, 9\], whereas OPE contributions are needed in addition to diffraction contributions to fit \[2\]t he * Work supported in part by the Volkswagen Foundation and the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission.",
