Abstract

Based on the so-called phase invariance of plane waves in different inertial systems, under Einstein's Special Relativity, plane-wave decomposition in the laboratory system yields plane-wave spectral representations in the stationary system, and, therefore, is likely to obtain analytic results in the form of plane-wave spectral representations. Following this motivation, the present investigation is concerned with applying plane-wave spectral decomposition to moving planar bodies scattering within the framework of Einstein Special Relativity. The spectral representations for both time-harmonic and time-dependent excitation are discussed.
