Abstract
This communication deals mainly with two issues raised in a paper by Boutin. His first comment in his letter has criticized the title chosen for describing an oscillator proposed by us recently. According to Boutin the oscillator has been wrongly entitled as a Wien bridge oscillator, in spite of the fact that it does not include a complete Wien bridge network. It is shown here that the title is justified. Furthermore, Boutin has suggested a circuit which is derived from our network by applying a relatively small variation and including a complete Wien bridge in the oscillator system. This circuit is regarded by him as likely to possess advantages over our original network. It is shown that such advantages are not likely to occur.
