Abstract
The transmission of electrons through a finite one-dimensional quantum spin 1/2 chain was studied, starting from an s-d exchange Hamiltonian. The spin transfer coefficients (STC) were calculated as a function of the electron Fermi energy. It was found that, for ferromagnetic s-d exchange, the STC display a novel resonant structure which manifests the richness of the combined electron-spin chain system.
