Abstract

The general quantum theory of collinear photodissociation is extended to include rotational and bending degrees of freedom. This fully quantum mechanical theory provides analytical expressions for rotational and orbital angular momentum distributions of the products. Calculated rotational distributions for ICN dissociation are in qualitative agreement with experiment.
