Abstract

The recently developed atmospheric Wiener filter was implemented in digital restoration of Landsat thermic mapper (TM) imagery over seven wavelength bands of the satellite instrumentation. Turbulence modulation transfer function (MTF) was calculated from meteorological data or estimated if no meteorological data were measured. Aerosol MTF was consistent with optical depth. The resulting atmospheric MTF was implemented in the atmospheric Wiener filter.
