Abstract
The multi-order resonant Raman scattering spectra in conjugated polymers are calculated using the amplitude modes formalism. The different relative intensities of the second-order scattering found amongg various polymers are explained by a different degree of disorder, which can be parametrized by an electronic level broadening term. Results for trans-(CH)χ, cis-(CH)χ, and β-carotene are compared.
