Abstract

Amphiphilic bis(tetrathiafulvalene) derivative 1 has been synthesized and assembled into Langmuir-Blodgett multilayers which, upon doping with iodine, afford stable semiconducting thin films of a mixed-valence salt, with in-plane room-temperature conductivity, σrt = 10-3 S cm -1.
