Abstract
In order to exploit the wind power as economically as possible, it was suggested that the wind-turbine be enclosed inside a specially-designed shroud. Past work has shown that such shrouds can increase the output power, of a given turbine, by a factor of 3 or so, as compared with the bare configuration under the same free stream conditions. A compact shroud configuration without sacrificing good aerodynamic performance is described and presented in tabular, graphical, and equation form. Diagrams of models are appended.
