Abstract
Several methods for rubber analysis are in use today, some of which take several days to complete. Turbidity methods are based on controlled precipitation of rubber particles from solution and determination of its quantity by photometric measurement of the resulting turbidity. The authors' aim was to develop a simple, rapid and accurate turbidimetric method for rubber estimation, based on solvents that provide isolated rubber of higher purity and are used in commercial rubber extraction.
