N2 - The paper studies the possibility of driving an induction coil for induction heating without a matching transformer. The heating inductor is connected directly to the high voltage circuit. The induction heating circuit is composed of a resonant LCR circuit. The heating power could be also controlled by changing the point on the resonant current waveform the energy 'quantum' is supplied.
