Abstract

The solubility of nitrogen in the Fe-Ti system is calculated and the limiting titanium and nitrogen concentrations providing crystallization of the nitride from melts at various temperatures are determined. The concentration relationships of the solubility left bracket %Ti right bracket left bracket %N right bracket product are presented for various temperatures. The results of the calculation are in good agreement with the experimental data.
