SOME PROBLEMS OF OPTIMAL DYNAMIC SYNTHESIS OF MECHANISMS.

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

The criterion of optimization is the minimum of the Root Mean Square Deflection (RMSD) of displacement, velocity and acceleration of any moving mass from the desired values. RMSD can be expressed as a functional which connects the dynamic Transfer Function (TF) and the Spectral Density (SD) of the input motion of the mechanism. The optimization applies either to such a structure of the IF, its parameters or to such a form of the SP of the input disturbances which gives the minimum of RMSD in accordance with the required circumstances. The errors of cam profiles, gear pitch, roughness of guides etc, are the sources of the mentioned disturbances. Solutions are obtained for both linear and some nonlinear cases.
