Abstract

A method is suggested for the analysis of stability of nonlinearly viscoelastic bodies at small deformations and large rotation angles. Evaluation of the stability of viscoelastic bodies on an infinite time corresponds to Liapunov's concept of stability of dynamic systems. An analysis of the stability of unevenly aging viscoelastic bodies has been given in some earlier papers. The paper formulates the stability conditions of a viscoelastic spherical layer subject to temperature stresses.
